A Change is a Comin...

Listen… Do you hear it? The wind is picking up. Dust flies through darkening skies. Birds fly into billows and turn mid-flight to seek shelter in hiding places known only to them and their Creator.

In Colorado, this time of the year, it means… change… drastic change. Now its 66 degrees, in a few hours it will be 30 degrees. By night fall, snow will begin to fall. Snow, when all the rest of the world basks in warm sunshine, colder days are ahead. The signs chant reality… reality of change.

There’s no use to fight it, a change is a comin. Only thing to do… get ready for it. There’s nothing you can do to change the inevitable. The only thing you can change is your mind, your attitude and your plans… what you intended to do. Expectations are designed to be changed. Why fight it?

What about your Life right now, right here and now? What do you hear? Do you hear the signs of change in your family, your faith, your marriage, your kids, your career?

What will you do? Make everybody’s life miserable including yours because you don’t want to accept certainty? Or, will you simply change your mind to prepare for the inevitable?

Sometimes, the best thing to do is stop complaining, stop resisting the change that is a comin. Embrace it as part of life. Learn to be content with what the good Lord allows for you today.
